We are two devoted souls committed to serving God, humanity, and the awakening of consciousness through the practice of conscious love. Through more than a decade of shared life, we have walked a path of healing, remembrance, and the cultivation of presence that ultimately gave birth to Loving Consciously.
Ameris (born Amanda) is a doctoral student, ordained metaphysical minister, sacred birth guardian, and spiritual guide appointed to help restore humanity's remembrance of God, love, and the Sacred Child.
Eric is a visionary architect, conscious designer, and leader comissioned to create environments and systems that support the flourishing of humanity and the Earth.
Together, we have devoted our lives to service, creating and stewarding a variety of ministries, offerings, and initiatives that support the emergence of a more loving, conscious, and connected world.
Some years ago, Ameris entered meditation seeking clarity on how to best serve this rapidly changing world and contribute to the alleviation of suffering. That is when the phrase Loving Consciously was given to her by God. In that same meditation, she was instructed that part of the mission was to “teach them how to love.”
We quickly came to realize that no one had taught us how to consciously love, and that despite years of marriage, we were still struggling to embody the peace, connection, and love we had spent so many years cultivating. An extensive search revealed that this phrase was not being used by any book, brand, podcast, ministry, or website.
We knew then that God was entrusting us to steward something sacred.
What began as a phrase received in meditation would eventually evolve into the Loving Consciously philosophy, the Awaken, Heal, Love framework, and a ministry devoted to helping humanity remember the way of conscious love and presence.
The pages below share the unfolding of a journey that transformed every dimension of our lives and ultimately gave birth to Loving Consciously.
It is our prayer that through sharing our testimony you will experience deeper revelation of God's unconditional love and grace.
May you remember that, through the eternal power and authority of God's love, no wound is beyond healing, no separation beyond reconciliation, and no life beyond redemption.
In the summer of 2016, our souls collided in this lifetime and our whirlwind of a love story began. Our lives were immensely different, and, our connection was undeniably special.
Our first few years were incredibly challenging. Ameris (then using her birth name of Amanda) was in early recovery and rebuilding her life after being released from prison just one month before meeting Eric, who was in a rigorous college architecture program.
While in college in our hometown in Tucson, Arizona we got engaged (top) and married (bottom). Although we deeply loved one another, we entered marriage carrying a lifetime of conditioning, trauma, and unconscious patterns that neither of us yet knew how to recognize or heal.
We navigated disapproving family, excruciating and conflicting schedules, differing values, unresolved trauma, infidelity, and financial struggles.
Through those first three years, despite every force pulling us apart, we remained devoted to a soul bond we did not yet understand...

In the summer of 2019, we finished college and moved to Portland, Oregon to start anew. We now had a normal schedule, flexible finances, freedom from family conflict, and a new city to explore.
And explore we did, all while navigating the events of 2020. We entered an ethical non monogamy lifestyle, traveled extensively, and rapidly built what we thought was the American dream. From the outside, our lives appeared successful, adventurous, and thriving.
Beneath the surface, however, unresolved trauma, conditioning, and unconscious patterns were continuing to affect our lives and relationship. Through these years we navigated immense grief and loss, a miscarriage, addiction, physical altercations, mental health challenges, and a 2 month separation.
We began to realize that love alone was not enough; without awareness, healing, and presence, the same patterns would continue repeating themselves. So, we left our corporate jobs and committed ourselves to do the difficult healing work necessary to transform our lives...

We began 2022 reunited after our separation and committed to consciously rebuilding our relationship from the ground up. We realized that despite our best intentions, we did not yet know how to heal the roots of our suffering.
For the first time in our lives, healing became our highest priority. We decided to take a year as a spiritual sabbatical (which would become 2 years) and began seeking and exploring God, Truth, and consciousness full time.
We were open to anything and everything that could help us heal and break the chains of the personal, ancestral, and collective trauma and suffering that plagued our lives and the majority of the those around us.
We held a conscious commitment ceremony on our 7 year anniversary where we rewrote the vows of our partnership and tattooed our fingers to symbolize our Divine Union. That same month we launched the Loving Consciously Podcast to share our testimony, explore consciousness and healing, and support others on the journey of consciously loving...

In the summer of 2023, we answered a calling that would forever transform our lives: selling our home, releasing nearly everything we owned, and embarking on what would become our RV Exodus.
We spent 13 months on the road full time in our sanctuary on wheels with our 4 dogs. We explored all 48 states, 3 Canada providences, and 46 National Parks. Along the way, little by little, we dismantled everything we believed ourselves to be. Old identities, attachments, ambitions, fears, and patterns gave way as we increasingly centered our lives around God, Truth, and love.
The depth and magic of this chapter of our lives cannot be fully captured here. For those interested, we shared the complete story in our three-part podcast series, "Our RV Exodus: A Revelation of God and Love."
Leading up to our 8 year anniversary, we were nearing the final months of the exodus and knew that God was preparing us for the next chapter of our mission, though we could never have guessed what God had in store...

As our RV Exodus came to a close, we entered a season of profound integration. We were guided by God to temporarily settle in Austin, TX and parked beside a sacred lake just outside the city.
Ameris finished her bachelor's and started on her master's and Eric continued to support people with conscious design.
We went through more conscious expansion, visited 4 countries (now 13 total!), and though we felt we could not possibly navigate anymore deaths and rebirths, we continued to be stripped of everything that was not in alignment with love.
After nine months in Austin and celebrating 9 years together, a pilgrimage to Scotland (top photo) became the catalyst for our next calling. It was there that we were guided by God to relocate to the sacred mountains of Western North Carolina in the fall of 2025.
What followed was a potent nine-month season of retreat, silence, and deep preparation. We withdrew from the digital world and podcast, creating space for deeper listening, initiation, and discernment.
During this season, Eric returned to practicing architecture while Ameris completed her master's degree. Both of us were being prepared to bring forth our gifts into public service.
We fell deeply in love with the powerful lands, waters, and community of Appalachia. Most importantly, this season became the fertile ground from which the next chapter of our mission would emerge.
Our journey continues, as we deepen our devotion to consciously loving, serving, and following wherever God leads us next. Sign up for our Love Letter to hear more as it is revealed!
